The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and PCMA Education Foundation have launched a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

The fund will provide assistance to members in the meetings and events industry who have been affected by the storm. A number of convention centres across the state have also been quickly turned into temporary shelters for those displaced by Hurricane Harvey.

Deborah Sexton, president and CEO of the PCMA, said: “I invite everyone in the business events community to help our colleagues who are struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. We are committed to doing whatever it takes to help southeastern Texas emerge from this disaster.”

Since launching the fund has raised $4,925 of its $25,000 target, with 100 per cent of donations going to those in need.
