The Meetings Industry Association (mia) will host two events aimed at helping venues and service providers increase sales revenue.

Next Monday 11 September business growth specialist trainer, Gavin Percy, will reveal how venues can increase revenue by up to 20 per cent, with his ‘Three Killer Questions’ in the venue booking enquiry process.

The two-and-a-half-hour seminar, which takes place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry, is open to both members and non-members of the mia.

That event will be followed by an interactive ‘show rounds to conversions’ seminar at Whittlebury Hall, Northampton on Wednesday 20 September.

The full-day event will cover conference and wedding show rounds and provide guidance on how to involve your operations team and using conversational questioning to identify your customer’s buying criteria.

Trainer Rose McDonald, who has more than 30 years-experience working within various group and independent hotels, venues and venue finding agencies, will be joined by Kevan Holland who brings experience of working with key venues and agencies in the sector.
