The QEII Centre launched a Westminster destination treasure hunt fam experience for event buyers and agents in collaboration with four of its neighbouring venues.

The launch event catered for 14 members of staff from MCI UK, who braved the coldest day of the year to immerse themselves in the Westminster venues.

Partnering with Wildgoose corporate team building solutions, QEII designed a treasure hunt spanning Central Hall Westminster, Church House, One Great George Street and Hilton Doubletree Westminster. Delegates also took part in a Westminster-themed quiz and photo challenges, with afternoon tea at Central Hall and a drinks reception at Hilton Doubletree.

Sue Etherington, head of international sales and industry relations at QEII Centre, said: “Attracting high quality events is often about so much more than just a venue – marketing the QEII Centre goes hand-in-hand with promoting Westminster as an attractive destination for events. By taking a partnership approach with our fellow Westminster venues, it enables time-poor event organisers to experience everything we have to offer in a fun, unique and informative way.”

Barbara Calderwood, divisional director at MCI UK thanked the team for their hospitality adding that the event was “a great opportunity for everyone to see a first-hand the superb facilities and of course to get to know each other better. We are looking forward to doing business with you in 2018 and beyond.”
