Industry discussion forum EventHuddle will be addressing the topic of sexual harassment at its next edition.

The discussion, titled “The Exploitation and Sexualisation Annihilation” takes place in London on Thursday 16 February.

EventHuddle CEO Kirk Thomas said: "In the wake of the Presidents Club scandal, it has been once again highlighted on a national scale, that the exploitation and sexualisation of event and hospitality staff is not a thing of the past.

“But why are venues and organisers allowing this to happen at their events and in their venues? It seems that CSR policies and statements on equality go out the window in the face of losing business.

“Should the events and hospitality industry be lobbying for the re-enactment of Section 40 of the Equality Act, which made employers liable for an employee being harassed by a third party, should we have an industry union to protect our worker rights?

“Join us as we look at how we can prevent and annihilate these customs from the events industry.”

The event takes place on Thursday 16 February, from 8.15am-10.30am at 1 Wimpole Street, London and is free to attend for all event professionals and event students.

You can register to attend at www.eventhuddle.co.uk
