Inntel is celebrating after recording the best results in the company’s 33-year history.

Pre-tax profit rose 30 per cent from £435k in 2016 to £565k for the year ended 31 May 2017, according to accounts filed at Companies House. Turnover rose 21 per cent to £21.8m in the same period.

The group strategic report filed with the accounts said: “The company is pleased to report that the year ending May 2017 has been a further year of sustained growth resulting in Inntel Limited’s best trading year in the company’s 33 years of trading. It has exceeded expectations in terms of growth in its group client spend of £66,609,411 up from £60,712,603 in 2016 (growth of 10 per cent) along with a 16 per cent growth in terms of transactions.”

The Colchester-based agency, headed up by MD Douglas O'Neill, has also increased its investment during the year in its events team and IT team.

The report said: “Not only has the company achieved impressive financial results over the last three years, but it has also continued to grow its staff numbers and the expertise and knowledge throughout the business, benefiting both the group and service received by its clients.

“Its continued policy of recruiting new staff with experience, knowledge and a passion for the industry has ensured that the company continues to attract high quality and dedicated staff.”

And the future looks rosy as well, with client spend and turnover up so far this year.

The report added: “For the forthcoming year to date transactions have continued to increase resulting in increased group client spend of 13 per cent and 18 per cent increase in turnover, demonstrating the continued success from the additional investment during the year to 31st May 2017.”
