BCD M&E has increased its EMEA team by 500 per cent to 600 people over the last two years - as it aims to become the number one events agency in the region.

Nigel Cooper, MD EMEA, told the audience of 600 at the BCD M&E conference that 85 per cent of the people were new to BCD M&E in the last two years.

The company has increased its head count to 600 across Europe - taking into account the Zibrant and Grass Roots acquisitions, as well as the expansion of in-country teams that have had to scale up to handle the growing number of new client wins in; life sciences, sports, finance and automotive as well as the growing demand for a full service solution among existing clients.

Cooper said: “A strong knowledge and understanding of the different sectors combined with our ability to seamlessly embed client brand values, has seen us rapidly grow our portfolio over the last two years with new multi-year client contracts and high profile creative event wins. A truly unique and powerful combination.

"Essentially we’re a people business and I see our staff delivering passion and purpose every day in offices across EMEA where the teams are going over and above to ensure our clients’ exacting needs are met and surpassed, we call it the ‘Human Connection’ and it’s what we’re all about.

"Where we need to scale up, we place huge emphasis on sourcing the best talent in the industry and expanding the teams to meet growing demand. We’re delighted to have seen such a positive surge and look forward to the future as we continue on the path to becoming the number one events agency in the EMEA region.”

This follows the news that BCD M&E Germany has welcomed a number of new recruits including three logistics and project managers and a sales manager to keep up with new demand and reflecting an increasing market share within the life sciences sector in Germany.

These new roles are typical of the recruitment
patterns being seen throughout BCD M&E across EMEA cementing the agency
firmly across the region and establishing it as a full service events agency
combining strategic meetings management, live production and a dedicated Life
Sciences division.
