University of Hull launches new brand for events and conferences

'Beyond Events' offers a choice of over ten different campus locations for events of all types

The University of Hull is investing more than £200 million to launch, ‘Beyond Events’, its new brand for conferences and events, bringing together a  range of venues, accommodation and sports facilities, alongside a full event management service.

Beyond Events will offer a choice of more than 10 different campus locations for events of all types and sizes.

Trudi Vout, director of commercial services said: “Many of the University of Hull’s venues are incredibly versatile, offering a huge choice of rooms, layouts and features. Stand-out venues include a seventh-floor observatory offering a unique location for networking events; a 406-seater auditorium offering surround sound; and a dedicated events and conferences centre. 

“Hull’s triumphant year as the UK City of Culture 2017 clearly demonstrated that the city can hold its own as a world class destination and a major player in business and tourism. 

"Hull is also seriously well-connected with fantastic railway links and major airports all within easy reach. With first-class facilities and on option for events of all shapes and sizes, Beyond Events is the perfect choice for an event that goes above and beyond expectation.”

The investment will allow the university to build on the success of hosting previous events such as BBC1’s The One Show, the British Science Festival and a number of BBC Radio 4 shows as it strengthens its client offer as a landmark destination for national and international events.
