Chillisauce reports 16th consecutive year of growth

Turnover hits £16.3m at event agency, with profit also on the rise

Chillisauce has reported a 16th consecutive year of growth, with both turnover and pre-tax profit on the increase.

In accounts filed at Companies House for the year ending 30 September 2017, the company reported a rise in pre-tax profit to £437k, up from £261k in 2016.

Turnover also rose just over two per cent to £16.3m, up £337k year-on-year.

The directors report accompanying the accounts said: "We are delighted to report our 16th consecutive year of growth for business. The business has continued to record growth across all areas of stag, hen and activity events both in the UK and abroad with increases in the number of people on events and amount spent.

“The market conditions for corporate events are more challenging and has impacted the performance this year.

"The directors are confident that 2018 will be another year of growth and are committed to continuing to innovate and develop the Chillisauce brand."

Staffing levels during the year fell from 99 to 95. Chillisauce launched a new IT platform post year end, the directors report stated they expected a transitional period while the business adjusts to the new application.
