Venue finding agency ConferencesGroup, the umbrella brand for the UK market leading venue finding websites, and Corporate Desk, has seen a 90 per cent uplift in venue enquiries from the International market.

ConferencesGroup has seen particular interest from UK companies wishing to hold conferences and events in New York, Los Angeles, Pennsylvania (USA) Iceland, Frankfurt, Poland and Dubai with clients including the likes of Go Compare, HSBC, Macmillan Cancer Support and Aurum Holdings – parent company to Watches of Switzerland, Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb, Rolex Watches and online platform WatchShop.

Simon Thompson, MD of ConferencesGroup, said: “We’ve noticed a substantial increase in business activities such as client meetings, brand promotions, employee training activities and incentive events. Corporates from most industry sectors are more willing to budget for travel away from their work space and arrange events that will improve employee engagement, organisational culture and staff retention. They are looking to our internationally travelled team of expert venue finders to source venues which offer state of the art facilities and new experiences, as well as value for money.

"Events are increasingly being inspired by the latest trends in the consumer world, and the use of social media is driving up competition for planners to find something truly unique to make their company and event stand out.”

ConferencesGroup has expanded into incentive travel and now offers hospitality and ticket inclusive accommodation packages, which currently include The Dubai World Cup Horse Racing,  The Abu Dhabi, Monaco and Singapore Grand Prix, Six Nations Rugby and Wimbledon 2019.

In addition, ConferencesGroup says the UK is also climbing the ranks of popularity following a notable rise in the number of international organisations using ConferencesGroup to source venues in the UK. “Events are no longer confined to the province of big conference centres in capital cities, with more modest towns and facilities becoming ever more sought after” added Thompson.
