Foreign DMCs step up UK focus
DMC and hotel representative Uniqueworld has welcomed a number of new clients keen to tap into the UK meetings and events market in 2010. Co-founder of the company, Andrew Harvey, says interest in targeting UK event organisers remains high, particularly among emerging markets.
He said: “In the past six months we’ve expanded our client portfolio. Many hotels and destinations believe they can offer competitive and creative solutions for UK clients, especially in the current economic climate. Our ongoing strategy for 2010 is to continue to grow within the ‘emerging’ markets.”
New clients include destination management companies Briggs NYC in New York, +Nine Zero in Turkey, Access which serves all of the USA and La Fayette, which has recently opened a new office servicing the South of France. Irish golf and spa resort Doonbeg has also recently signed up with the consultancy.
