Ford's driven to success at Goodwood with Imagination

02/07/2012

Creative agency Imagination helped Ford deliver at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with an interactive show and clips from the new movie The Sweeney.

The agency was on hand to promote the Ford Focus ST range at the four-day show, with the car company’s stand featuring presenter-led news, music, quizzes, competitions, exclusive content, interviews and popcorn. The 'Ford Big Screen at Goodwood' also featured exclusive clips from The Sweeney, which is based on the 1970's television show and stars Ray Winstone and Ben Drew, aka Plan B. The new Focus model also stars in the film.

Visitors to the stand were given the opportunity to appear in a The Sweeney-themed 'green screen' activation, see themselves up on the big screen and then share their experiences via Twitter and Facebook.

Zoe Gordon, project director at Imagination, said: “Goodwood is a family friendly event for people with a passion for speed and cars. It has been a great opportunity for us to create a truly experiential brand immersion by maximising an existing marketing partnership between Ford and The Sweeney, bringing it to life in a way that appeals to a wide audience of visitors.”
