Nine top corporate event organisers from Indesit, Thomson Reuters, Barclays, Clifford Chance, Oracle User Group, Schroders, Societe Generale and Institutional Investor met with Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine for the inaugural ‘Meeting of Minds’ luncheon this week.
The event was held over a three-course meal in The Private Room at The Gilbert Scott, the elegant British brasserie run by Marcus Wareing’s team at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London.
Organisers tabled a range of topics for discussion under Chatham House rules, from outsourcing and staffing to Olympic expectations. The importance of public perception in the organisation of events was discussed, while compliance cultures between the varying sectors also stirred debate.
