Corporate planner group the Event Marketing Association (EMA) is connecting its members through a new app.
The association, exclusively for in-house event planners at corporates and not for profit organisations, has teamed up with app developer DoubleDutch to launch the new platform for exchanging knowledge news and views in a secure environment.
EMA chair Richard Waddington said: “Working with our partner DoubleDutch has allowed our members to share knowledge, information, and ideas directly with one another and the wider group.
"The app has many benefits, however the two key ones are; it allows us to communicate with the members instantly and give them access on their mobile devices to a hot of information, plus it allows our members to share knowledge. For example, if a member is looking to host an event in Berlin, but has no past experience of the city, they can now reach out to their fellow EMA members and ask for ideas, advice and recommendations.
"The app will be a closed and confidential member-only platform, and help facilitate one of our key principles – knowledge sharing."
