MyEvent.Vision names new advisory board for second year of competition

Simon Hughes, Kevin Jackson and Jane Baker among industry leaders who will oversee competition

Chad Lion-Cachet, CEO of Events International Group, will chair the Advisory Board

The second edition of events industry competition MyEvent.Vision has named its 2016 Advisory Board.


High profile specialists from experience marketing, sports and musical events, event technology, digital and social media, the academic sector and some of the industry's leading publications have been recruited to provide insight and input alongside chairman Chad Lion-Cachet, CEO of Events International Group (EIG).


MyEvent.Vision was started in 2015 as a competition to create more innovation, creativity and value in the UK events market. 

Leeds Beckett University student Heather Varley took first place in the inaugural edition of the competition, winning a job offer from EIG, the opportunity to turn her winning event concept into a reality and £5,000 cash. 

The new board, includes Simon Hughes (BVEP), Mark Howell (Howell Media & Management Services), Robert Dunsmore (freelance Creative Director), Kevin Jackson (The Experience is the Marketing), Jane Baker (MPI / 2Heads), Jason Allan Scott (Changemaker Enterprises and Hollywood Inc), James Morgan (Event Tech Lab / Westminster University), and Jackie Mulligan (UK Centre for Events Management at Leeds Beckett University).

Lion-Cachet commented: “The enthusiasm of the board is already quite exceptional. These people have an amazing passion for innovation and creativity in the events industry and, like us, see new ideas as the future for our industry. I’m delighted that MyEvent.Vision has the benefit of such a dynamic group of people.”


Entrants must submit their ideas before 8 February 2016 at the MyEvent.Vision website. The winner will be announced in the spring 2016.
