Best Parties Ever has recorded its busiest Christmas ever with total bookings hitting 175,000.

And MD Tim Stevens says firms are not looking to cut back this Christmas – despite the fall in the value of the pound following the Brexit vote.

“Companies will always want to celebrate Christmas regardless of how well the pound is doing, and so until Brexit actually takes place, business will be normal for us,” he said. “The vote itself has not immediately affected the appetite for booking high quality hospitality and Christmas parties. In fact, it's bucked the trend. This year has been our busiest ever with a total of 175,000 guests booking with us. In 2017 we are actually looking to increase the number of venues we cater for - Christmas is an institution and not worth upsetting the employee apple cart over.”

He added that the vote to leave the EU could have positive results for small to medium-sized business.

“We know from experience that banks and law firms don’t want their festive spending to be under scrutiny – they’re getting round this by booking our sharer parties in smaller numbers," he said. If anything, as Brexit begins to have more of an effect I believe that there will be more and more SMEs benefiting from these hospitality packages as opposed to larger organisations.
