The Meeting Needs EVCOM MIMA Auction has raised more than £7,500 for charity.

A holiday to Barcelona, helicopter flying lessons and a cookery school experience were just some of the prizes up for grabs in the auction in aid of industry charity Meeting Needs.

The auction raised £7,704 from more than 30 lots donated by supporters within the events industry. The top lot was an exclusive two person, four night stay in St. Louis, Missouri, which went for £975 to an anonymous bidder.

Each year, funds raised by the auction help Meeting Needs provide direct and life-changing support to children and communities worldwide. Earlier this year the charity celebrated reaching £1 million in income raised and helping more than 145 causes since it was founded 14 years ago.

The Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) was launched in 2002 to raise the standards of marketing in the meetings and events industry.

The MIMA 2017 presentation ceremony will take place during The EVCOM Industry Awards on 17 November 2017 at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel, London.
