AC Luxe opens New York office after surge in US business

UK destination management company opens in Big Apple in response to increased demand from the US

UK destination management company AC Luxe has opened a New York office in response to increased demand from the US market.

The weakness of the pound following the Brexit vote has seen a surge in US tourism to the UK and AC Luxe predicts 2018 will be a strong year for business throughout the UK for both the meetings and incentive markets.
 
“With business from the region growing by over 60 per cent year-on-year, the decision to open an office in New York was simple,” says Malcolm Lindop, AC Luxe’s joint MD. “Having a permanent presence working on local time allows us to provide an even greater level of dedicated service to our clients. Creating a unique experience is the heart of what we do, and the US office enhances the experience for our clients, allowing them to tap into our expertise on a time frame that better suits their needs.

AC Luxe is part of the AC Group, which also includes AC Tours, AC Online and – acquired in 2017 – French Travel Partners, France’s leading inbound tour operator.

Rob Russell, joint MD, added: “For 2018 and beyond, we’re seeing meeting and incentive enquiries be a bit more adventurous in their destination choice with everything from incentive groups exploring distilleries in Scotland before a fishing trip, to meeting groups enjoying a rustic retreat in Wales.
