The National Railway Museum in York hosted event buyers on a fam trip as they experienced the museum’s event spaces, met the new strengthened events team and got a first taste of the upcoming rebrand.

The evening began with networking drinks & bowl food in Station Hall, followed by a tour of the royal carriages in residence at the museum. Guests then moved to the Great Hall for a tour of the museum’s conference centre.

Finally, buyers enjoyed a treasure hunt amongst the display of locomotives, including Mallard – the world’s fastest steam locomotive.

Helen Beresford-Boyse, event sales manager at the National Railway Museum, said: “We really enjoyed spending the evening with so many of our key clients, as well as introducing some new faces to the museum’s one-of-a-kind offering.

“This is shaping up to be an exciting year for the museum, with our fresh-look rebrand and the return of the Flying Scotsman in the autumn, alongside our new Flying Scotsman Dinner Package starring Scottish-inspired cuisine. Our extraordinary collection of objects enables us to continually innovate and adapt our offering, so it was wonderful to be able to showcase this to our clients and partners.”
