'Busiest year' predicted as London DMC prepares for 7,000 delegates

DMC announces four major wins, including a 6,000 delegation for United Grand Lodge of England 300-year celebrations

Principal. London DMC will host more than 7,000 international delegates over the next two years after securing four major business wins.

The destination management company, a sister company to event management agency Principal. Global Events, says the wins will produce its busiest year in its three-year history in 2016, as it coordinates programmes for the four groups, arriving from China, the United States and across Europe.

The largest event, taking place in October 2017, will see 6,000 delegates arrive from across the world for the 300-year anniversary celebrations of the United Grand Lodge of England. Principal. London DMC will provide ground support throughout the four-day programme, including managing all hotel and programme arrangements.

Director Anupa White said: "We are pleased to have been chosen as the DMC partner to the United Grand Lodge of England and we are very much looking forward to helping them celebrate this significant 300 year Anniversary event in London in October 2017."

Another major win, from retail brand Amway, kicked off this week when more than 300 delegates arrived from China and the United States. The company has designed a selection of events and activities for the Amway delegation, which draw on London's most iconic landmarks and history.

In September, up to 500 delegates will arrive for the annual ECTRIMS congress (following a partnership with AIM Group International) before a VVIP group of 250 American delegates arrive in November, a result of a partnership with
