Creative agency 2Heads is preparing to launch its meetings management tool on the market, after a "total" rebuild to allow it to be used by any client.

The tool, EventHive, was originally developed for a specific client to help it manage its exhibitions across the world, but it has since been remodelled to assist companies across every sector in their meetings management.

It comes as 2Heads reveals its US team is expanding after witnessing a growth from gaming and aerospace clients.

Commercial director Jane Baker said: "Often clients were finding that meeting rooms would be double booked or there may be empty rooms when they thought it wouldn't be; there was a lot of administration around it. We were asked to develop a tool to help manage that.

"We started working on it and developed a solution specific to that client. Earlier this year, we were approached by financial services clients to use it at their exhibition, so in order to make sure it was fully compliant with data and security requirements, we decided to completely rebuild the tool.

"We've completely remodelled it and now we're ready to market it in a broader way."

EventHive helps to schedule meetings and shows availability of meeting rooms and people and can be used on any mobile or computer device.

Meanwhile, Baker said the agency's US-based office, which opened three years ago, continues to grow thanks to growth among its  gaming and aerospace clients.

It comes six months after the agency appointed Rachel Pecka as senior project manager.

Baker said: "The level of growth particularly from those two sectors I think is specifically something that's driving the need for more senior staff to support it and help drive more."
