ABC Events targets corporates with castle partnership

ABC Events partners with Scottish venue to target corporate events market

ABC Events has partnered with Scottish venue Mercure Barony Castle to target the corporate events market.

The three-star 16th century tower house, set in 25 acres of Peeblesshire countryside, has appointed the Falkirk-based agency as it expands its offer to include team building, fun days and outdoor pursuits. 

In June 2015, Corina McQuat joined the team at Mercure Barony as the new revenue manager with the aim of maximising revenue and return at the castle. This included building partnerships with suppliers such as ABC Events to increase the services on offer at the castle. 

McQuat said: “We are delighted about the range of services and events which we can offer for the team building, incentive travel and private events market at Barony Castle, thanks to our local supplier partnerships such as the one with ABC Events. 

“The versatile facilities of the castle combined with the innovative ideas and great knowledge of the ABC Events Team make the perfect combination for exciting projects for 2016 and beyond.” 

Working together over the last six months, ABC Events and Mercure Barony Castle have created bespoke event packages for the castle’s clients and guests.

Hannah Spacey, business development executive at ABC Events, said that both parties are excited to see the partnership grow and develop.  

“Working with Corina and the team at Mercure Barony Castle has allowed us to really get our creative juices flowing, there is a real excitement and fresh approach to what we are trying to achieve here and lots to come in the future,” she said.
