ABPCO event to keep in-house organisers LinkedIn

24/08/2012

The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) is hosting an event for 25 of ABPCO’s own in-house PCO members, plus other association buyers, to network and discuss best practice with LinkedIn expert Bert Verdonk.

The event, part of ABPCO’s silver jubilee anniversary celebrations, is sponsored by Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) and will take place at the Wellcome Trust, London, on September 25.

ABPCO vice-chair Jennifer Jenkins, who will chair the event, said: “Our members benefit tremendously from peer-to-peer networking, sharing experiences and ideas to help each other deliver the best possible conferences and meetings. We are delighted that the Wellcome Trust has agreed to host this first ever ABPCO event dedicated to in-house PCOs and are looking forward to uncovering some great tips on maximising LinkedIn from Bert Verdonk.”

Aileen Crawford, head of conventions at Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB), said: "It's a great opportunity to get together with colleagues and partners from across the industry to share ideas and best practice. Moreover, the LinkedIn session will provide an ideal forum through which attendees can engage and connect, both on and offline."
