AOK Events aims for growth after Michelin Star reveal win

Event management company set for busy autumn with new starters and the growth of AOK Creative

AOK Events has won the contract to manage the first ever Michelin Star reveal event. 

The event, which will be the first of its kind, marks the beginning of a busy autumn period for the event management company as it grows its creative department and welcomes new staff.

The reveal event in October will mark the publication of the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2017.

Anna Hernandez, marketing manager at AOK Events, said: “AOK Events are thrilled to be managing everything from sourcing the event venue, pre-event management, creative concept (from branding to AV), sponsor liaison and on-site event management.” 

Following the purchase of Cavendish Hospitality & Events as well as a joint venture with online venue finding company wefindvenues at the start of 2016, AOK Events is now focusing on adding strength and resource to AOK Creative. 

The department, which handles creative concept and event management operations, will almost double in size, with both external new starters and internal restructuring. Nine staff currently work in the department.

Hernandez said: “This move will allow AOK Creative to take on even more leading-edge creative events, as well as producing some of the best work in their sector. The department is currently working on recreating their workspace at the AOK Events offices to reflect the creative agency’s dynamic and provide an engaging and inspiring environment which generates incredible event concepts.” 

AOK Events will also be joined in September by Lorraine Sage, the former senior communications manager at Swiss Re. 

Sage, who has 20 years’ experience working in the Square Mile joins as business development director and will play a key role in leading the delivery of AOK’s sales strategy.

Sage said: “I’m thrilled to be joining AOK Events. It’s an amazing opportunity for me to bring 20 years of industry experience to one of the leading event management companies in the UK.”
