AOK Events partners with wefindvenues

Venue finding agency moves into AOK Events' headquarters as two companies work in new-found partnership

AOK Events has partnered with online venue finding service wefindvenues as it continues with its ambitious expansion plans.

The two companies now operate under one roof at AOK Events' office at Clapham Junction, but say they will both maintain their independence as they strive to offer the "very best venue finding service" together.

The partnership is part of AOK Events non-executive chairman Mike Kershaw's vision for growth, after he joined the agency in October following his departure from Concerto Group. Since his arrival, AOK Events has acquired Cavendish Hospitality & Events and announced a 40 per cent increase in event numbers in 2015.

Kershaw, now also non-executive chairman for wefindvenues, said of the new partnership: "Wefindvenues is a business I have been interested in for some time, and I am thrilled to have them join the AOK Events group, and to bring their technical expertise into our fast growing operation."

The venue finding company was launched in June 2014 and lists 1,000 venues and 5,000 individual event spaces with a focus on the UK and Western Europe. It offers leads with an average event value of £8k.

The deal will mean wefindvenues is showcased to AOK Events' wide and varied portfolio of clients, and also allows us to offer full service event management and great hospitality packages to our clients through AOK Creative and AOK Cavendish."
