Event employers will be able to meet with the best emerging talent from across the UK and Ireland during this year's MPI Connects.

The two-day event will introduce 50 students to employers in a series of one-to-one meetings, recruitment panels and networking opportunities, and event agencies are being urged to sign up.

MPI Connects, taking place on 13 and 14 April, is organised by MPI UK & Ireland branch and has launched the careers for several of the UK's brightest minds.

Richard Parker, MPI UK & Ireland president, said: “The event builds on the success of MPI Connects last year where 50 students were able to meet employers one to one to help them secure that all-important first job in the industry. MPI Connects gives employers the chance to meet the very best of new talent from Universities across the UK.”

As well as one to one meetings, this year event companies will receive attendees' CVs in advance, to maximise their chance of identifying talented people.

Sue Massey, operational director at Grass Roots Meetings and Events, said the programme led to her company employing two graduates last year. She added: “The event enabled us to meet new talent all together in one place and saved a lot of money on recruitment costs. The students impressed us and the event provided a platform for  companies to identify potential event graduates and interns for both current and future positions.”
