Banks Sadler, Eventful, Pineapple Events and Inntel are among the list of agencies to have signed up for the Meetings Industry Association's (mia) second annual Agents Day.

The event, held at Woodland Grange Conference Centre in Warwickshire, is now a permanent fixture after the inaugural event last year. It offers venues the chance to meet with agencies and hear what agencies look for when selecting and booking venues and events, in an 'Agents in the Spotlight' session.

There will also be an element of friendly competition, which will see attendees divided into teams to test their minds and challenge their detective skills in a CSI-style team building event.

Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “The feedback was so positive from 2015 that we’ve decided to make it an annual fixture in our events calendar, which is ultimately designed to bring people together. The day offers a great opportunity to ask those candid questions and to give people the time and space to think in a different place. It is designed to make venues take a fresh approach to working with agents.”

The event, taking place on 14 April, will conclude with a celebratory drinks reception where mia will present an award to the winning team.
