Agency Wellpleased with corporate and exhibition growth

10/05/2012

Wellpleased Events has seen a good start to 2012 and as a result is expanding its team and offerings.

The Leeds-based event and exhibition agency says that following an increase in corporate enquiries and the growth of the exhibition industry – which grew 2.7 per cent in 2011 - it has appointed Paul Rutherford as production director, to head up the exhibitions and conferences team. Following client demand, Wellpleased has also increased its warehouse and equipment facilities to offer exhibition stand and conference set production services to the industry.

Sam Welply, owner of Wellpleased Events said: “We’ve seen an increase this year in a variety of areas.  We’ve certainly had more corporate clients coming to us earlier on in the year than last; normally it’s the back end of the year where things start to ramp up but this year we’ve had about a third more interest in our exhibition work by May this year than versus the whole of last year.

"Few people know that the exhibition industry enjoyed growth of 2.7 per cent in 2011, and the number of exhibitors increased 2.3 per cent.  Attendees and revenues grew by more than that too, so as a sector, it’s a healthy place to be."

Wellpleased’s client list includes Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, Gordons LLP and other FMCG.
