The in-house event management team at BNP Paribas was the pick of the winners at the 2016 International Corporate Event (ICE) Awards.

Held at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum the awards honour achievements among corporations and recognise excellence from their in house event teams. More than 100 companies from 15 sectors were represented.

BNP Paribas collected two awards on the night, Best Motivational Event and Best CSR Event.

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) received the In-House Team of the Year Award, for its work on the NSPCC Childline Ball, and the Best Agency Collaboration award was collected by Playtech together with brand experience agency 2Heads. Further honours went to Direct Line for the Best Leadership Event, the BBC was judged to have held the best International Event, the UK Chamber of Shipping was awarded Best use of Budget, ITV the Logistical Challenge of The Year, and BP Fuels the best use of technology.

Jenny Atkinson, communications and events executive at the UK Chamber of Shipping, was named the Rising Star for 2016.

ICE Awards founder Anita Howard said: “These first two awards cycles have proved conclusively the quality of work being delivered by in-house event teams, who are often overlooked within their own organisations and perceived to play a back-room role.”
