BCD adds 13 markets to global network

Global events agency expands into markets such as Vietnam, Hungary and Israel

BCD Meetings & Events has expanded its global network by adding 13 meetings and events companies to its Global Partner Network.

The international company says the additional markets, in places such as Indonesia and South Africa, will better serve customers that require a global scope.

It says the companies it has partnered with are 'leaders' in their individual markets, and will bring local expertise in nuances such as VAT and legal specifics.

Scott Graf, Global President of BCD M&E, said: “There is only so much organic growth that can happen at the pace we need to expand. When looking to grow specific markets, we make a strategic decision to either expand our wholly-owned operations or partner with best-in-class local businesses to serve our customers’ specific needs.

“There are advantages when partnering with organisations that know the regional and cultural nuances of doing business in certain markets. We believe that they will help us provide superior, localized service. They, in return, have the benefit of working under a recognised, global brand with extensive resources and expertise.”

The 13 newly signed markets include Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Russia, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Romania, Poland, Greece, South Africa and Colombia.
