Bluehat launches training arm for millennial employees

Agency's new brand, Bluehat Develops, aimed at fostering leadership and talent among Gen-Y staff

Bluehat has launched a new leadership and development arm to help foster talent from graduates and identify emerging leaders.


The brand, Bluehat Develops, has been launched to help understand millennial values and leadership aspirations, and is hoped will strengthen the company's position in leadership development. Almost two-thirds of Bluehat staff are Millennials.


It comes after a 2016 Millennial Survey by Deloitte showed Generation Y employees vote with their feet for employers who offer the best training opportunities.


Sean Clarke, Learning & Development Director and head of the new division, said: “We’re a company of young people ourselves and over sixty per cent of our Bluehat staff members are millennials. We understand this growing sector and our mind-set of serious play sits perfectly with them. We’re experienced in delivering modules on graduate leadership programmes for FTSE companies and we know that what we do works. And of course we enjoy it immensely! Our ethos of collaboration, creative and pro-active thinking through game-play mirrors what both external research and our own experience tell us that millennials want from their leadership training.”


The launch coincides with Bluehat Group's 15th birthday celebrations this month.


Bluehat Develops is a series of workshops and leadership games that have been designed to match the needs of the agency's clients.


Bluehat CEO Tim Shepley adds: "Some of these we have been running for years, and some are new. I’m especially excited about a game which is new to the UK, called FreshBiz, which challenges us all to play a better game of leadership.”


Elisa Criado, Lead Facilitator at Bluehat, said: “It’s about understanding millennial values and leadership aspirations, and meeting those with solutions that are as up-to-date, dynamic and creative as our fantastic participants.”
