Live broadcast specialist Pi Communications has invested £250k in a ‘conference van’ to enable live streaming of any event.

The company, based in Northern Ireland with offices in Dublin, has developed the broadcast truck to employ robotic technology to direct multiple cameras and stream events live to a world-wide network.

Pi Communications currently provides broadcasting services to the NI Assembly as well as the Irish Parliament, and public sector clients such as Invest NI.

MD Norah Anne Barron said: “Viewing platforms are constantly evolving, revolutionising how and where we watch TV, requiring us to produce television for every screen across multiple platforms. As technology develops, individual requirements change so we are constantly researching and investing in the latest developments in this fast-changing industry.”
