More than 80 buyers met with representatives of more than 200 hotels at the inaugural Starwood MICE & Corporate Networking Forum in London.

Starwood hosted two events, kicking off with a two day session at Heathrow’s Sheraton Skyline focusing on clients based outside London on 14-15 March, featuring an overnight stay and entertainment based around the event’s spring theme.

This was followed by a one day session at Le Meridien Piccadilly for central London-based buyers, once again featuring one-to-one meetings and workshops, culminating in a cocktail reception and prize draw.

Starwood account director Semrin Wadwa said: “A spring theme got everyone in the mood to celebrate the launch of London’s first MICE networking forum, organised by the Starwood Sales Office (SSO) London.

“Arranged over three days, the SSO hosted 44 Starwood associates representing over 200 international properties. The forum kicked off at the Sheraton Skyline at Heathrow Airport, which hosted a customer sleepover followed by speed dating over a two day period.

“Next, our hotels turned their attention to London, where the event was repeated at Le Meridien Piccadilly. Customers enjoyed spring-themed water acrobatics, a flower show and spring-themed food and beverage pairings.”
