The National Railway Museum in York has reported a 24 per cent increase in its joiner night festive packages as it gears up for its "most successful Christmas party season yet".

The museum says it has confirmed more than 2,500 covers for joiner nights this Christmas, with a further 1,500 covers confirmed for exclusive parties as it prepares to welcome companies such as Siemens and the PA Group.

It comes after a successful Christmas period in 2015 for the venue, which saw a 25 per cent increase in covers compared to 2014, with its Night Train to Vegas and Wonderland Express packages proving popular.

Michelle Rennoldson, sales and events manager at the National Railway Museum, said: "We are delighted that the packages are doing so well again this year. We consistently receive great feedback from our clients regarding our Christmas packages and their popularity over the last three years was the main reason why we decided to run them again for 2016."
