Client wins help boost profits at Planet Pursuits by 50 per cent

Wiltshire agency hires three new staff members to keep up with growth

Five client wins have underlined a 50 per cent increase in pre-tax profits at Planet Pursuits as combined turnover across all its divisions exceeded £3.5m.

The Wiltshire agency welcomed the new clients, including FSI, Emergen and Hochtief, to its portfolio of 300 companies, leading to the rise in profits. It has also won contracts with UK Body Talk and Vicaima for 2016.

Three new faces have also joined the company: Joss Wood as account manager for Carey Group, Emily Fisher as office apprentice and Jess Cavey as support account manager.

The company recorded a 10 per cent rise in turnover this year, which when broken down, included an increase of business for corporate travel and venues of £1.8m to £3.1m.

Director Simon Maddison added: "Our sales for event production is up from £315k to £385k and team building business is up from £106k to £123k."

This year also saw the agency partnering with Advantage Travel, the UK's largest independent travel group, to help develop its corporate travel and complete event solution offerings.
