Clive's Maxwell Fellows and Sony Mobile's former head of events have launched a mentoring programme they say is open to all event professionals.

Fellows, head of client services at Clive, and Melissa Noakes said they decided to establish ELEVATE to support and inspire ambitious event professionals, regardless of age, gender or career history. It follows last year's pilot of Fay Sharpe's Fast Forward 15 mentor programme, designed to help women entering the events industry.

Fellows said: "The reason why this is different is because it's completely inclusive; this is open to every individual. Whether you're a CEO or MD and looking to sell your business, or to acquire another business, or a senior project manager or junior designer looking for your next step, this is designed to line you up with the support you need."

Noakes added: "Everyone has a specific need, or area they would like support with and this is about finding the right person with the right skill sets to match it with. This programme will benefit the entire industry, and enhance knowledge and expertise between people."

Fellows and Noakes have been joined by Courtney Baisch, talent manager at Amplify.

More than 50 mentors have already signed up to ELEVATE, representing brands such as Jack Morton, Balance Me and Sledge. The programme will run for six months, starting in November, with the aim of supporting mentees and mentors with connections and materials.

Fellows said: "We’ve already had an amazing response to the program. The calibre of the mentors is excellent and covers every role within the industry, there is someone for everyone, no matter what your position or situation."
