Concerto Live has rebranded as Clive after a share purchase by MD Nick Robinson.

The rebrand to Clive – an abbreviation of Communicate Live - follows the buyout of Concerto Group’s shareholding in Concerto Live by MD and majority shareholder Robinson for an undisclosed sum.

Following the buyout, Clive, which employs 30 people in offices at London Bridge and in Aberdeen, will continue to enjoy a close working relationship with Concerto Group, with its portfolio of venues and event service providers becoming preferred suppliers.

Robinson said: “As we look to the future, we are driven to continue to develop our reputation as a market-leading live communications agency.

“Our people are innovators in their field and this new brand identity reflects our commitment to excellence, while communicating the individual and vibrant personality of our agency and our people.

“We have enjoyed a successful working relationship with Concerto Group for over five years. Our businesses are highly complementary and as we begin this new chapter as Clive we are committed to continuing our trading relationship, utilising its highly regarded event services as preferred suppliers for our clients’ live events.”

Since 2010 the company has built a reputation for delivering experiential, large-scale communications events for big brands including Facebook, Instagram, PlayStation, Honda Finance, BP and Virgin Media. In accounts filed for the year-ending 28 February, 2015, Concerto Live posted £9.6 million turnover and £567k pre-tax profit.

The firm’s new website - - sees the popular ‘Inspiration Station’ blog expanded and developed to meet growing demand.

Sam Gill, CEO of Concerto Group added: “We’re extremely proud of the exceptional live communications agency Clive has become, which has grown from a great partnership with Concerto Group in recent years. As they begin their next chapter - we wish all at Clive every success for the future and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with them on some truly inspiring live events.”

Sean Doyle, Clive’s head of creative services, has overseen the rebrand with the agency’s in-house studio.

He said: “When we began to think about the future of the agency, we wanted to drill down to the very essence of what we help our clients achieve; communication in a face to face environment. This led us to the name Clive because we feel it sums up exactly what we do: we help brands communicate: live.

“Whether it’s a conference, pop-up, experiential tour or incentive event; we believe that by communicating live, you can create experiences that breed understanding of your message and build brand advocacy among your audience.

“It’s a fresh new identity and a re-energised proposition but behind the new Clive brand is the same team and values; known and trusted by many of the world’s leading brands.”
