Congress designed by associations for associations

International association executives will learn how to future-proof their organisations at a major meetings event in London.

The fifth edition of Association Congress 2011 will be held 18-19 July at the Business Design Centre in Islington, and is already being hailed as Europe's largest conference for associations.

Managing director Damian Hutt has put together a programme of seminars and sit-ins which has been extensively researched among leading international association executives. In fact, 80 per cent of delegates are from associations, the lead speakers are from international organisations and prominent industry associations are contributing to the structure and programming of the event.

Association Congress will employ an array of online and at-event networking devices: social media sites, an event networking/registration tool, Spotme event handsets, and a Meeting Zone area.

The programme, largely designed by last year’s audience, will focus on growing membership; event attendance and subscriber numbers and the strategic development of associations.

Also incorporated, for the second successive year, is the Association Leadership Summit, where 40 Association Leaders will discuss and debate key issues and investigate new operational and business strategies for their organisations and memberships.

Other key aspects of Association Congress will include:

*Workshops designed for both intermediate and advanced levels of association executive

*Extensive coverage of social media at strategic, case study and workshop level with practical solutions in each stream

*Expert Advice Clinics of one-to-one appointments with experts to obtain advice on specific issues.
