Cvent, a market leader in meetings, events and hospitality technology, is set to welcome hundreds of industry professionals to the second annual Cvent CONNECT Europe conference. Hosted at the Business Design Centre in London, 1-2 October 2018, it will bring together event professionals and industry heavyweights for two days of education, networking and hands-on technology demonstrations.

Cvent recently announced Laura Schwartz, former Director of Events at the White House during the Clinton administration, as the keynote speaker at this year’s event. A further two more keynotes are still to be announced, but the education looks set to be outstanding with more than 60 educational sessions covering the latest industry trends and best practices in addition to offering hands-on experience in the Innovation Pavilion, where Cvent’s latest product enhancements and innovations will be showcased in a live-demonstration setting.

As well as education sessions led by the Cvent management and team, many external speakers are on the agenda.  Highlights of the programme include:

Fay Sharpe, BCD, will be teaching us how we can ‘Have your cake and eat it’ and other life goals
A panel of key influencers at the forefront of diversity and inclusion will discuss the need for an inclusive culture within our industry
CMOs from around Europe will discuss how events need to be viewed as an asset not an expense
A panel of inspirational women leaders, including Carina Bauer, IMEX, and Angeles Moreno, Creative Dot, will take to the stage to discuss what it takes to make the leap and join the ranks of executive leaders in the events industry
First glimpse of Cvent’s product roadmap, the  new innovations that have just been released or are in the planning
Hoteliers will get a chance to ‘Understand the organisers’ and learn first-hand insights from event planners
The power of touch is to be rediscovered, according to psychologist Dr David Lewis and Mark Jones, giant of Itab, to create more engagement at your events
Milton Rivera, AMEX, will be discussing how well we really know our attendees.

There will be plenty of opportunities to network with peers, whether that be at a meeting with venues at the Supplier Showcase, joining a roundtable over lunch, chatting over coffee in the innovation pavilion or having a cocktail and dance at the conference party. Cvent will pull out all the stops to ensure attendees leave the event brimming with ideas, contacts and new friends.

Cvent users also have the chance to get Cvent Certified at Cvent’s Customer Training and Development day taking place on Wednesday 3 October, at the Business Design Centre. Training workshops are available on the following topics:

Event Creation
