Nick de Bois and Kevin Jackson will open UK Events Week with two exclusive sessions looking at the future of the events industry.

De Bois, chair of the newly formed Events Industry Board, will chair a meeting with chief executives and senior marketing directors on how they view the events industry and the im-pact it has on their businesses.

Jackson, director of ideas and innovation at The Experience is the Marketing, will chair a ses-sion entitled ‘How Do Events Get on the Board Room Table’, bringing together chief execu-tives and senior management from leading experience-marketing agencies. Jackson will be joined by Deborah Armstrong of Strong & Co, and Michael Wyrley-Birch from TRO.

The sessions both take place at the Conrad St James in London on Monday 29 February.

De Bois said: “It's important that through these sessions, the industry gets a chance to hear views from outside of the industry as well as inside. So I’m delighted to bring together a sen-ior table of leaders from some of the biggest companies operating in the UK, to really investi-gate what the events industry means to them.

“The session is closed but we’ll be sharing the outcomes from this, and the earlier session, with the industry to get a 360 view from the corporate world.”

UK Events Week takes place on 29 February - 4 March and sessions are now open on the UK Events Week website. Event professionals are encouraged to book early for the open sessions and to create their own events as part of the celebratory week.
