Incentive product showcase has attracted more than 90 international buyers and media to South Australia

Buyers and exhibitors get down to business at Dreamtime 2015

Dreamtime 2015, Tourism Australia’s signature incentive product showcase, began at the Adelaide Convention Centre with more than 90 international buyers and media and 70 suppliers and a welcome from the indigenous Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains with the theme “Welcome to our home”.

Tourism Australia’s deputy CEO Frances-Anne Keeler said Adelaide’s strengths as a business events destination together with the unprecedented level of business events infrastructure development in the city “means our hosted buyers and media will have a truly unique experience”.

A full day of one-on-one appointments followed the opening ceremony in the area for business sessions designed to represent the Australian landscape, with theming featuring water-colour graphics evoking the beauty and diversity of the Australian continent. Day one concluded with a welcome event at the famous Penfolds Magill wine estate, with guests experiencing the best in South Australian food, wine and hospitality.

Adelaide Convention Bureau CEO, Damien Kitto said: “South Australia is renowned for incredible food and wine.  In hosting Dreamtime we want to welcome guests to our home and also show them that when it comes to delivering outstanding business events, our local industry is second to none.”
