Drp celebrated its new expansion with drpBIGtalk, an interactive day full of tours, thought leadership sessions and entertainment.

The event revealed drp’s huge investment in the facilities at its Midlands head office, the largest corporate creative production facility of its kind in the UK. The expansion means that drp has doubled its office spaces and capacity across the entire business.

Callum Gill, head of insight and innovation at drp, said: “Over the past few years, we’ve recognised the need not only to maintain our excellent creative and technical delivery of comms projects, but also to provide analysis, insight and justification for the solutions we put forward. With our own dedicated insight and innovation team, we’re able to harness our experience working with some of the world’s best-known brands as well as our team’s insight into the latest and greatest technology available and put it to good use for our clients.

“The drpBIGtalk is the latest in a series of thought leadership events we have been running with clients that has allowed us to share this insight, as well as our thoughts on how the industry will develop over the coming years. From my perspective, any brand, agency or organisation that doesn’t have one eye on the future probably won’t be around to see it.”

The event featured panelists and experts including David Meade, who kickstarted the event with a talk on the power of engagement, followed by Samantha Wilson, one of the UK’s top sustainability gurus. Other speakers included Dr Elling Hamso, the leading authority on managing ROI in the events sector; Steve Feeney, who built a multi-million pound finance business using SEO; and Richard Hollis, an expert in cyber data security.

The day concluded with an evening drinks reception and tours of the facilities, before street food, drinks stations, interactivity, competitions, and entertainment going on into the night.

The bespoke facilities in the Midlands now include eight fully equipped edit suites, 3 state-of-the-art studios, digital innovation labs, a dedicated print facility, 3D projection cinema, construction centre, contemporary design suite and fresh new additions ‘The Park’ and Studio 3.
