Drp is set to embark on an office expansion and its biggest ever staff training and development programme over the next six months.

The office expansion will double the size of drp’s head office site in Hartlebury, while the training programme will see the equivalent of £1,000 spent on each of the firm’s 180-strong staff.

Dale Parmenter, group CEO, said: “We are all very motivated for the next few months, with our office expansion well underway and the biggest ever training and development programme running for the team.

“Drp is investing in developing new talent, and allowing the team to grow within the business. We have a variety of training and development programmes running for the entire drpteam. The largest one will be focusing on leadership, and this includes not just current leaders, but the next generation of leaders in the business. By the end of the year we will have spent the equivalent of £1000 per team member on training.”

He added that drp originally purchased its head office site in Hartlebury with plans to expand in the future, and due to the demand and growth of the business the extension of the building has now been brought forward.

He said: “The new spaces will double the size of the building, with a massive increase in our production creative areas, more studio space, a new state of the art construction workshop for our stage set and exhibition divisions, and a new print studio, increasing our capacity. “

The plans were unveiled at drp’s annual summer conference, held at Drayton Manor Theme Park near Tamworth. The conference consisted of a day of activities and team building, before late afternoon access to Drayton Manor Theme Park, as well as a barbecue and entertainment in the evening.

Parmenter said: “Our annual summer conference is an essential part of our internal communications, in terms of reflection and forward thinking."
