Drp has raised more than £1,000 on a charity walk in memory of colleague Duncan Weaver, who died last year after a long battle with a brain tumour.

A 20-strong drp team took part in the Twilight 10K Walk in Warwick, in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.

Rosie Harper, venue co-ordinator at venuepot, drp’s in-house venue-finder, said: “The Brain Tumour Charity were a big support to Duncan, so we wanted to do something in Duncan’s memory to raise money for this charity. We thought that The Twilight Walk would be something different and good to work towards in raising money. It’s wonderful to have raised so much for the charity and we hope we get 100 per cent of our target.”

The Brain Tumour Charity funds research to increase survival rates and raises awareness of the symptoms and effects of brain tumours. The charity’s main aim is to double survival and halve the harm of brain tumours in the next 10 years.

The drp team completed the walk in 1 hour and 45 minutes. So far, they have raised more than 80 per cent of their £1,600 target. You can donate to the cause here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/team-drp
