EVCOM has announced two new initiatives aimed at supporting members in gaining access to European markets.

Firstly, EVCOM is to be a founding member of the LiveCom Alliance, the first pan-European network of event and live communication associations, offering members local expertise, insights and best practice.

And the second new initiative sees Live Communication Magazine welcomed as an EVCOM official media partner in Europe.

Steve Garvey, EVCOM chairman, said: “These alliances will lead to increased exposure for EVCOM members in overseas markets and shows the commitment EVCOM has in making its members more successful by offering up new platforms for discussion, networking and promotion.

“At a time of uncertainty regarding the UK’s participation in the EU, we are keen to strengthen our international relationships regardless of the outcome of the referendum in June.”

The alliance provides EVCOM and its members with: access to a global database; participation in half yearly live events; participation in major research and benchmark projects; and improved conditions/reduced fees for industry events.

“The concept for a pan-European network among associations was born during a meeting of Eubea’s advisory board two years ago,” said Maarten Schram, chairman of LiveCom Alliance. “Together with the UK (EVCOM), we discussed how this could benefit all of us locally and the industry on pan-European level. I’m very happy EVCOM, as a very important event industry in Europe, supported this from the start and joined LiveCom Alliance as a founding partner.”

In the second new initiative, Live Communication Magazine, a professional international magazine for the live communications industry, will feature news and profiles of EVCOM members’ activities.

Nadia Makova, founder of Live Com Group, said: “Live Communication Magazine is delighted to form our official partnership with EVCOM. With this partnership we are aiming to bring the highlights and key players of UK industry to a pan-European audience, as well as bringing European expertise and markets to EVCOM members.”

EVCOM’s worldwide standing continues to grow with members now in more than 60 countries worldwide. This was highlighted by the continued recent partnership with leading DMC association euromic ( which added DMCs in more than 40 countries to EVCOM’s membership.
