The EWL Club is launching a mentor initiative, Evolve, aimed at helping industry professionals share knowledge and support the less experienced event professionals.

Event professionals with five year or less experience are invited to join the programme, where they will be matched with a mentor. Some of the mentors to have already signed up include Alex Vail (head of events at Digital Catapult), Emma Stoker (vice president of events & relationships at Barclays UK), Amanda Davey (head of events at Institute of Faculty and Actuaries) and Louise Warren (events and sales manager at No4 Hamilton Place).

Evolve will launch in September and will begin with small evening networking events to share peer to peer knowledge sharing, with additional mentor-mentee guidance.

Helen Moon, founder and director of EWL Club UK, said: "More and more event professionals are now looking for peer to peer knowledge sharing and support in terms of their career development. We are delighted that the next stage of the EWL Club’s development is to offer this support to the industry and we’re very excited to get things started with some fantastic mentors and promising future talent."

Anyone looking for more information on being a mentor or wishing to attend the event as a mentee can contact Helen Moon at helen@ewlclubuk.com.
