Eamonn Holmes to host 2017 M&IT Awards

Television journalist and former Sky News anchor to lead event, coinciding with M&IT's 30th anniversary

Former Sky News host Eamonn Holmes has been announced as the host for the 2017 M&IT Awards.

The television journalist follows the footsteps of previous hosts BBC news anchor Kate Silverton and former England rugby captain Matt Dawson, to lead the event.

The awards, expected to attract more than 1,100 industry professionals, will take place on Friday 3 March at Battersea Evolution. Voting has already begun for the 19 awards, plus the M&IT Personality of the Year, with a business class trip to Vietnam on offer for one lucky voter.

M&IT marketing director Maria Voller said: "We are very excited to have Eamonn host a very special M&IT Awards as we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2017. He is a seasoned professional and will add a unique perspective to the evening with a great commanding voice and sense of humour."
