Event Travel Management (ETM), formerly Chambers Travel Events, expects to register 30 per cent growth in the next year.

The meetings and events arm of Australian travel giant Corporate Travel Management (CTM), which acquired ETM’s former parent company Chambers Travel Group in 2014, says being part of a global business has generated ‘huge opportunities’.

ETM has secured three contract wins and added expertise after being merged into CTM’s operations as part of a £39 million deal.

Ashleigh Rimmer, senior account director, said: “It has been an extremely exciting period, focussed on integrating into the global team.

“Being part of a global company has brought a wide range of experience and expertise from travel and event specialists within our industry and has resulted in three new global accounts wins for us.”

Half-year results published in February revealed ETM was on track for an annual turnover of £9.2 million, while Rimmer is eyeing 30 per cent growth for the coming year, after taking on additional staff with pharma, technology and luxury brand experience.

“With the financial year being end of June, our new performance targets have just been put in place,” Rimmer added. “We are expecting to grow by approximately 30 per cent in the ETM sector of our business.”
