Event business up 15 per cent at BMA House

London venue expands team by two to keep up with demand

BMA House, where growth in summer party packages, drinks receptions and conferences has underlined a 15 per cent sales increase

BMA House, home of the British Medical Association, has reported a 15 per cent increase in sales in 2015, with a growth in summer party packages, drinks receptions and conferences.


The central London venue has expanded its team with two new positions to keep up with growth, while plans for 2016 include opening an additional meeting space and launching a new Summer Street Food concept with a Festival Party for PAs and bookers in April.


Rebecca Hurley, deputy head of events, said: “2015 certainly has been a flourishing year for BMA House.


“Growth areas for our central London venue have been larger conferencing with significant events this year from Imperial College and The Independent Schools’ Bursaries Association (The ISBA)."


Hurley says the increase in sales was due in part to repeat business and to the venue's presence at key shows such as The London Summer show.


The venue hosted the launch of the Top Gear magazine and welcomed the Duchess of Cambridge for an event with its client The Fostering Network.


New team members include Hattie Shannon-Little as events administrator and Lucy O’Grady as sales and events planner.
