How should the events sector vote in the forthcoming EU referendum?

That’s the question up for debate at the next edition of industry discussion forum EventHuddle.

Industry veteran and former MP Nick de Bois and general secretary of Labour Leave Brendan Chilton are on the panel for the debate, which will discuss whether the industry should rally behind the “in” or “out” campaign.

The discussion is set to be chaired by current ISES UK president Kevin Jackson, director of innovation and ideas at newly-founded agency Experience Is The Marketing.

EventHuddle organiser and Athena Events Group MD Kirk Thomas said: “We have been promised a referendum on our EU membership for the first time in a generation, and regardless of the result, it will have a massive impact on the events industry both here in the UK and further afield; for decades and even centuries. But what is that impact and how will it affect business? We need to start talking about this now.”

The debate takes place on Wednesday 13 January at 1 Wimpole Street, London from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
