Events marketing platform evvnt has acquired for an undisclosed sum as it strives to become a market leader for events promotion.

Evvnt, a publisher database with more than 5,000 publisher sites, says the acquisition is part of its global expansion to reach the global audience of event organisers. Eventviva has been a publisher used for promoting events from all categories by evvnt since 2013.

"We worked with Eventviva for a number of years and noted it was a popular site for event organisers to post event listings to," said Richard Green, CEO and founder at evvnt, which posted a loss of £124k in the most recently available accounts, for the period ending 31 December 2014.

"We’re excited to acquire the assets to support our mission to educate event organisers on our single submission event marketing technology on a global scale."

Aditya Patadia, founder of Eventviva, added: "We decided to sell the assets to evvnt as we believe our customers will be well taken care of. Both event organisers and attendees will benefit from this acquisition as they become part of"

Eventviva will no longer supply an events discovery or ticketing service.
